Impressive Capacity and Performance in a Mobile Drive - Today’s demanding mobile users expect disk drives to be extremely compact while offering incredible performance and capacity. The Fujitsu MHR Series disk drives deliver both without sacrificing efficiency or reliability.
High areal densities of 36.4GB/in, combined with GMR heads and MEEPRML read channel technologies, enable these large-capacity drives to deliver outstanding performance. The Fujitsu MHR Series drives incorporate FDB spindle motors and Rampload in 2.5” disk drives for mobile applications. The FDB technology dramatically improves non-operating shock tolerance and decreases acoustic noise.
In addition, as part of Fujitsu’s environmental philosophy and a tangible result of its “Green Life 21” initiative, the MHR Series is produced using lead-free solder, the first 2.5” HDD series to be manufactured by this process.

High Shock Resistance - The MHR Series disk drives are durable enough to withstand greater than 900G non operating shock by offering a number of features designed to resist shock and increase reliability. The MHR Series stiffness-reinforced base casting delivers enhanced stability for greater vibration and shock resistance. The MHR series’ repeatable run-out compensation feature adjusts for minor mechanical “disk shift” by automatically performing diagnostics and making adjustments each time the drive starts up.
