Users who require high data availability can take advantage of the “always-on” characteristic of Hitachi’s Travelstar E7K60. Because the drive never has to wake up from sleepmode, users can access their data
more quickly yielding improved transactional time. The drives are designed to allow users to leave it powered on around the clock and supports a read/write duty cycle of up to 50 percent—more than twice the level supported on standard mobile drives.
