The KIOXIA EG6 drives support the fully matured Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology, which utilizes part of the host memory (DRAM) as if it were its own, to realize a DRAM-less, high-performance SSD.
The latest KIOXIA Enterprise Class SSD lineup boosts performance to new levels with its next-generation EG6 Series. They are well-suited for today's enterprise class environments and 24/7 "always on" computing. The EG6 Series also suits various embedded device applications.
KIOXIA EG6 Series is a line-up of compact form factor NVMe SSDs with capacities up to 1,048 GB, and leverages a PCle 4.0, NVMet 1.4c specification compliant interface and KIOXIA BiCs FLASH Generation 6 TLC flash memory. With higher bandwidth, improved flash management and Host Memory Buffer (HMB) technology, the EG6 Series SSDs deliver very high read performance for compact form factor SSDs of up to 6,000MB/s (sequential read) and up to 900K IOPS (random read).
KIOXIA EG6 Series SSDs are available in capacities of 256GB, 512GB and 1,024GB in M.2 Type 2230 and Type 2280 module form factors, making them suitable for thin and light system designs. The EG6 Series offers a Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) model option, supporting TCG OPAL Version 2.01.
