The Dell Precision 15-3561 Mobile Workstation is Available in Two Drive Variants Depending on the Battery Installed. (Up to Three Drive Variant - One 2.5" Drive and/or Two M.2 (2280) or (2230) Drives with the Smaller 4-cell 64Whr Battery Installed ) or (Up to Two Drive Variant - Two M.2 (2280) or (2230) Drives with the Larger 6-cell 97Whr Battery Installed) Note: Models that have the larger 6-cell 97Whr battery installed do not support 2.5" drives due to the larger battery occupying the 2.5" drive bay. Both M.2 slots support 2280 and 2230 drives by moving the SSD holder screw to accommodate the form factor. The 2.5" drives require caddy p/n 096GVC and cable p/n 0PCX32 for installation. (M.2 slot-1 (SSD1) supports Gen3 | M.2 slot-2 (SSD2) supports Gen4) When installing a M.2 Gen4 drive in slot-1 (SSD1), the drive will run at Gen3 speeds.
