The Dell Precision 17-7730 Mobile Workstation is Available in Two Drive Variants Depending on the Battery Installed. (Variant 1 - One 2.5" Drive and/or Three M.2 (2280) Drives with the Smaller 4-cell 64Whr Battery Installed) or (Variant 2 - Four M.2 (2280) Drives with either the Smaller 4-cell 64Whr Battery or the Larger 6-cell 97Whr Battery Installed) Note: Models that have the larger 97Whr battery installed do not support 2.5" drives due to the larger battery occupying the 2.5" drive bay. The 2.5" drive and the M.2 2280 drive in slot-4 (SSD4) occupy the same space when installed. The M.2 2280 drive in slot 4 requires mounting bracket carrier p/n 8FT91 and thermal cooling cover p/n 1J2CX for installation. The 2.5" drives require caddy p/n F07VM and interposer board p/n CK36K and mounting bracket p/n 9DYY7 for installation.
