The Dell Precision 17-7750 Mobile Workstation Supports up to Four Drives. (Four M.2 (2280) or (2230) Solid State Drives) Note: M.2 slot-6 supports Gen4 drives | M.2 slot-3, slot-4 and slot-5 support Gen3, Optane and SATA drives. M.2 slot 6 is under the removable door and M.2 slots 3, 4 and 5 are internal and require removing the base cover. When installing a M.2 Gen4 drive in slot-3, 4 or 5, the drive will run at Gen3 speeds due to the system board limitations. The M.2 2230 drive uses a adapter bracket p/n 07HMH to accommodate for the larger M.2 slots form factor.
